Harvard’s Steven Pinker’s next book will be about the communication of science. Unlike so much discussion recently, he focusses on the actual words of scholarly publications themselves.
Here is a link to a talk he gave at MIT on the subject. It should give us all pause. Let’s face it, if we open up scholarly communication that means nothing if it does not actually help the communication of scholarship.
